Since the construction of the first large wind tunnel systems in the 1930s, we have enjoyed a good reputation as a competent and reliable partner for wind tunnel technology. Whereas until 2007 we delivered turnkey wind tunnels throughout the world, we now focus on the key component, the fan.

In individual cases, we still plan and deliver small wind tunnels for universities/research institutes and blower systems for climate chambers.

The Centerpiece of the Wind Tunnel Is Our Passion: The Fan

The most important applications of our fans are aerodynamic and aero-acoustic wind tunnels. Other major areas of application are thermo-function or even climate wind tunnels.

Every fan is customized and its project planning is adapted to the specific installation point. Stand-alone drive systems with operating, control and monitoring systems and their connection to parent digital control systems are part of our service portfolio.

Thanks to our many years of experience in designing turnkey wind tunnels, we recognise the parent requirements of a wind tunnel and their significance for the design of our fans.

Installation sizes of fans can be implemented up to 15 metres.

This massive wind tunnel is used for aviation research, with an impeller diameter of 15 meters and an installed power of 88,000 kW. The windtunnel has been constructed in the 1940s, and has been in regular operation since 1952 (right image) until today.
